Castle Mound Rabbitry

-General Information-
•Our rabbitry is a closed facility which means we do NOT allow strangers to come to our rabbitry to pick up their rabbit. Pickup will be arranged at a nearby public location.
•Please do not ask about rabbits that are not listed as available
•Those who are impatient and/or rude will automatically be turned down.
•It is very important to understand the work involved in owning this animal. They require time, energy, and effort. They need regular grooming which involves brushing, nail trimming, and trimming/plucking/shearing their coats. They need daily exercise, cage cleaning, and proper nutrition. They are also very COSTLY. Proper housing and grooming materials are necessary and quality materials will cost you. They are a huge responsibility and are not meant for everyone.
•I reserve the right to deny sales to anyone for any reason at anytime
•I encourage customers to ask as many questions as they want when considering a rabbit. I personally like to know as much information and detail as possible about a rabbit before purchase and appreciate when others do the same.
•I also may ask customers questions. Please do not be offended as it is in the best interest of the animal.
-Payment Information-
•Types of payment accepted: Cash and PayPal
•Checks are not our preferred way of payment. They will only be used when necessary but only after discussing the terms with the buyer.
•Before a bunny leaves our care, it MUST be paid for in full.
•Prices are final and non-negotiable
•Prices for each animal will vary
•Prices are subject to change at any time
-Deposit Information-
• You MUST contact us before placing a deposit
•All deposits are non-refundable.
•A deposit of 50% is required to reserve a rabbit
•All rabbits will remain available until a deposit is placed. Once we receive your deposit, the rabbit will be marked "Reserved."
•If a deposit is not paid then I am under no obligation to turn down the next person inquiring about the possibly same rabbit. Prompt communication is important and required for this reason.
•Deposit holds for 2 weeks only, after the 2 week period there is an additional housing and feed fee for $10 for each additional week.
•If you do not show up to get your rabbit within the agreed time frame, the rabbit becomes available again and you forfeit your deposit. (Meaning it will not be refunded)

•AVAILABLE - Rabbit is available for deposit
• RESERVED - Deposit has been paid, rabbit is not available
• HOLDBACK - Holding the rabbit back to watch development
• PENDING PICKUP - Rabbit is paid for & scheduled for pick-up
Type Labels
• PET QUALITY - Rabbit is NOT meant to be bred; NO pedigree included.
• BROOD QUALITY - Fits standards & can be bred; Pedigree included.
• SHOW QUALITY - Fits standards & has potential to be a showable rabbit. (We may hold onto potential show qualities to see how they develop) Pedigree included.
•Just because a bunny is showable does not guarantee it's going to win all of its shows. When purchasing an 8-10 week old kit, even when bred from the best lines possible, their bodies change after maturity
•If purchasing a brood rabbit, we cannot guarantee how it will reproduce either.
-Sales Policy-
•Castle Mound Rabbitry reserves the right to withdraw from a sale at any time, for any reason. If we decide to withdraw from the sale and the customer has paid a deposit, the deposit will be returned.
• After the rabbit is in your possession, Castle Mound Rabbitry is no longer responsible for anything that happens while it is in your care. We will not be responsible for any vet bills incurred by rabbits that have been sold.
• Your rabbit is to our best knowledge healthy at time of sale but it is your responsibility to check the rabbit over to be sure there are no problems at the time of sale.
• We ask that if you can no longer care for your rabbit you bring it back to us, instead of selling to someone else, so we can ensure it goes to a good home. We welcome all rabbits back here with open arms, but no refunds will be made.
• All rabbits MUST be 8 weeks or older before leaving our rabbitry
-Transport Information-
•We do send our rabbits with transporters, however, the customer must arrange transportation/pay for transport.
• If your rabbit is being sent with transport, we will hold for 2 weeks for free. After 2 weeks, there is a $10/week housing fee.
• The rabbit will NOT leave with transport if amount owed is not paid in full.
• Your rabbit is guaranteed healthy when it leaves with transport - Castle Mound Rabbitry is not liable for anything that happens during the transporting process.
• Pickup is made in Black River Falls, WI at a public location being that the rabbitry is at our home.
•Depending on our schedule, we will meet 10 miles from Black River Falls. If we must meet over 10 miles away, there is a $15/per 20 miles transportation fee.
•Each rabbit will come with a bag of transition food and pedigree (if applicable)
-The Waiting List-
• If you would like to be on our waiting list, please fill out the adoption application.
• NOT EVERYONE WILL BE APPROVED TO BE ON OUR WAITING LIST.
• Those on our waiting list will have first chance at a bunny before anyone else.
•A bunny will only be posted for sale if those on the list aren’t interested or if the list is empty.
•When a bunny who meets your specifications is available you will be notified.
•The bunny who meets your specifications will be assigned to you temporarily until 4 weeks of age when deposits are to be placed.
•A bunny will not be held for anyone without a deposit
•If you are on the waiting list and none of the bunnies from the current litter peak your interest, you can remain on the list until a bunny that you like comes along.
•Remember the more specific your request, the longer you may have to wait
•Please do not sign up to be on the waiting list if you do not want to wait or if you do not agree to the sales policy above.
